My Experience
I started working with Dr. Glenda as my health coach & personal trainer on August 6, 2022. When I started, I was tired, sluggish, and lacking any type of motivation. I was wearing a size 24 in dresses, and all I wanted to do was sleep and eat. I didn't really believe Dr. Glenda could help me lose weight, but I was desperate to feel better, so I put my faith in her impeccable credentials. My first workout was the hardest thing I've ever done, but I completed it. Whoa! I remember on the drive home; I said to myself, " I don't know what just happened, but I want more!"
A mere 90 days later, I dropped 4 dress sizes and 24 pounds. Yes, the weight loss is great, but what helps me stay on track and feel empowered is my 1:1 private session with Dr. Glenda. She is the big Sister I've needed in my life for the last 9 years after losing my own Sister to a blood clot-related stroke.
I have quite a way to go to reach my goal weight, but for the first time in my life, I feel more than capable, strong, and in charge of my well-being. I owe it ALL to Dr. Glenda's loving support and my willingness to invest in myself and put in the hard but oh-so-rewarding work.
My Experience
I’ve been meeting with Glenda weekly for more than eight years, beginning at age 62, for personal training. The personal training she provides has helped me limit the progression of osteoporosis and prevent lower-back pain. I’ve become stronger overall and somewhat more flexible.
Glenda varies the mix and types of exercises from week to week, so it’s not tedious. Plus, there’s always a challenge involved. The best part is that I feel invigorated and pleased with my success at the close of each session.
My Experience
I reached out to Dr. Glenda Shepard, we met, and we put together a plan for fitness and also a nutritional plan. I will tell you it has changed the way I THINK, and it definitely has put me back on track. The nutrition plan she suggested has worked and I am doing wonderful. I am the Founder & CEO of Triumphant Strength, a health & wellness ministry that empowers holistic well-being. I am an accomplished health & wellness nurse practitioner, nutrition coach, fitness trainer, competitive figure bodybuilder, speaker, and a mighty woman of God. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
My Story
Growing up in Texas, at the young age of 13, I weighed 200 lbs and struggled with poor self-image and self-esteem, which led to years of emotional turmoil, spiritual depression, and unhealthy eating habits.
After graduating high school, I went on a mission to find the proper balance between food and life. My spirit drew me to nursing, which did not satisfy my yearning to understand nutrition. So, I went on a deep quest and studied nutrition and exercise physiology. It took me nearly a decade to figure it out, and there were many failures along the way; however, I had a fire inside my belly that would not allow me to quit. I turned the corner when I hired my first personal trainer, who taught me the power of combining nutrition and physical activity instead of only focusing on one or the other. This holistic approach to wellness laid a solid foundation as I entered the menopause and post-menopause phases of life. I am passionate about helping other women build their health on this foundation so they can thrive in their next stage of life.
My past failures and mistakes have empowered and strengthened my soul and spirit. My message of hope is NEVER to give up. Whatever the enemy brings to kill, steal, and destroy, God can ALWAYS turn it around for His glory!
I overcame obesity and my distorted relationship with food. I am on a mission to bring Health and Wellness to the Body of Christ and others. I believe God ordered me through years of struggles and that it prepared and equipped me with the Triumphant Strength to lead others.
